Conference Forum for Sustainable Business, which will be held in Prague on 14th April 2011, will bring Czech businessmen inspiration on how to succeed in new model of responsible and sustainable business. 

 

An ideal opportunity for Czech businessmen to gain new strategic ideas will be an international conference Forum for Sustainable Business, which will be held in Prague on 14th April 2011. You can look forward to case studies and discussions with representatives of the most progressive companies from the Czech Republic and abroad. If you want to learn, which companies are leaders in this area, what they think and how to inspire from them for your own business, then don’t miss this event.

 

Key speaker of the conference will be Al Halvorsen, Senior Director of Environmental Sustainability, one of the biggest food companies in the world, Frito Lay/PepsiCo, who will share his experience with creating a „company with mission“.

The morning part will deal with question “Why Sustainability”. Petr Zahradník, Consultant and Project Manager – EU Office of Czech Savings Bank, Member of National Economic Council of the Czech Government (NERV), will think about sustainability in broader economic context. Global view on this issue will be introduced by Amanda Jordan, Co Chair, Corporate Citizenship. Specific examples from the business practice will be introduced by Esther Rodriguez, Associate Director Climate Change & Sustainability from KPMG, Ines Biedermann, CSR / Sustainability Manager from company Henkel and Karel Fořt, General Manager CEE Carrier chladicí technika CZ together with Miroslav Friml, Member of the Board of Directors and Technical Director of the company Tesco Stores ČR.

 

Except the participants of morning session there will be also Martin Hausenblas, Owner of ADLER Czech, Monika Hovorková, Vice President for Brand and Communications from Vodafone Czech republic, Radek Špicar, External Affairs Directorof Škoda Auto, Alexander Kainer from company Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Filip Říha, Owner of Freshbedynky.cz at the plenary discussion on the topic of best practices in sustainable business.

 

The afternoon program will consist of three parallel expert sessions focused on companies, consumers and state administration. The first session will deal with topic “How to create a sustainable company” and it will be moderated by Tomáš Nejedlo from Business Leaders Forum and Czech Grid Group.  Among others there will speak Jiří Seidler, Director of the company Tepelné hospodářství Hradec Králové, Bohumil Havel, Of counsel PRK Partners, Head of Corporate and Insolvency Law Chair, Faculty of Law, University of West Bohemia, Vladimír J. Dvořák, Director of Grid International CZ, Marika Sokol, Senior HR Consultant of the company United Change Companies and Petr Fiman, Vice President of the company Electric Powersteering Components Europe.

 

Panelists of the second afternoon session will think on how to offer the advantages of sustainability to consumers efficiently. The panel will be led by Tom Václavík from agency Green marketing and he will discuss with Adam Elman from British retail company Marks & Spencer, Laurent Muratet from French company  Alter Eco and Hana Zmítková from Tetra Pak. The view of producers of glass containers will be introduced by Michael Delle Selve from European federation of this field.

 

The third session will deal with state and public administration as a space for sustainable activities. The session will be led by Jan Stráský, Chairman of Czech Tourist Cluband there will speak Milan Kazda, Mayor of the village Kněžice, Irena Descubes from International School of Business in Rennes, Jakub Ditrich, Managing Partner of company eKolo.cz, Herbert Donnerbauer, Member of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament, Petr Očko, Director of the Section for EU Funds, Research, and Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Tomáš Kulman, Manager of KPMG Czech Republic.

 

The conference, under the patronage of Czech Prime Minister Petr Nečas and Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, is designed for top management of companies operating in the Czech Republic and CEE region and for representatives of state and regional administration and public services.

 

The conference Forum for Sustainable Business is being co-organized by University of Economy in Prague, Business Leaders Forum Czech republic and Blue Events.
