Retail Summit 2010: How to bounce back from the bottom?(Note down a reservation for February 2–3, 2010)
Crisis in retail trade has intensified – after the impact on financial, real estate and industrial markets the global recession manifests itself in drop in end-consumers demand. Preparations of Retail Summit 2010 thus take place in a rather tough period when we are definitely not lacking bad news. The organizers of the Summit have nevertheless set the ambitious aim of outlining the 2 days program in such a way to bring the maximum possible inspiration for resurgence.
Experience from other market segments going through the crisis ahead of retail sector, has marked that “value and values” can play a crucial role when overcoming the problems. Retail Summit 2010 program will therefore concentrate a great attention on incitement how to deliver the best possible value for affordable price. It shows that even in times of crisis the concepts based on „value for money“ are usually more successful than solutions based on the lowest price only. The need to base business upon firm values and clear strategies will be the main topic of the summit keynote speaker Götz Werner, a founder, partner and member of the supervisory board of dm-drogeriemarkt – one of the leading moral and intellectual authorities of European retail.
